Project Rock the Block

In July, Hampel Oil had the opportunity to be a part of a great cause in the community. Wichita Habitat for Humanity teamed up with UMB Bank for project Rock the Block. This project brought the community together to help provide safe and affordable homes to those in need. Hampel Oil not only helped sponsor one of the homes, but also had multiple employees volunteer to spend a day working on that home. While volunteering, we had a chance to speak with Dana Korkki, General Contractor for Wichita Habitat for Humanity. He said,

"It’s an amazing group of people. They can divide up into any group of employees, and it doesn’t matter how you mix and match. They all exhibit teamwork and a willingness to help others, basically service above self today. There isn’t a guy here that said, “Well, I’d rather do this.” They’ve all just looked at our jobs and have taken every one of them with heart. They’re doing the best job they can, and we really can’t ask for more. It’s been a true pleasure, a wonderful experience. This is actually my first time working with Hampel Oil, and they are a true team with true humanity and compassion for others."

Hampel Oil is honored to be part of this project as well as a part of the community, and we don’t plan on stopping here.
