PC-12 Engine Oils Are Coming
The next generation of heavy-duty engine oils (PC-12) is expected to launch January 1, 2027 alongside new EPA emissions regulations. These oils are being developed to support new engine designs, improved fuel efficiency, and longer-lasting emissions systems.
PC-12 will introduce lower viscosity oils, improved oxidation stability, and enhanced wear protection compared to current CK-4/FA-4 lubricants. Importantly, one of the PC-12 categories will be backward compatible with current heavy-duty engines and lubricants on the market, helping ensure a smooth transition for existing equipment.
